The Scariest Building In Kumasi, Netizens React

The house which belongs to the late Mr Edward Yaw Boakye who was a goldsmith for Asantehene Opoku Ware II.
Social media users have described how eerie the building appears, especially at night.
Others claim that the red, blue, and green lights around the house at night, in addition to its construction and the beast-like head atop it, are what give it a scary vibe.

These are a few remarks made by netizens to one of Kumasi City’s distinctive buildings.
“I lived in krofrom and went to Kings International School. I thought I was the only one scared of this building”- Sil Vexta.
“To be honest I used scare of building. The first time I saw it, i was on bus coming from school and we passed by it,,,, I nearly peed in my pant when I saw the building”- Dee Mahdi.
“Nana Yaw boakye’s house. Very rich man, he was a goldsmith. Rawlings came after him in the 80s but couldn’t arrest him, very fearsome man. I don’t know if he’s still alive or has passed away”- Kwame Yeboah Antwi.
“My big friend Owura yaw’s uncle. Nana Boakye. He was ex soldier and goldsmith , in around 89, 90 ex president attempted to arrest him in midnight after arresting the likes of Sarfo Adu etc . He threatened to shoot any one down if they made the attempt” – Dennis Gyebi.
