Asantehene Family Joins Akwasidae Celebration
On March 31, 2024, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, the family of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II celebrated the third Akwasidae festival of the year.
As custom demands, the king’s wife, Lady Julia Osei Tutu and the children attended the sacred event to pay homage to the king while he sat in state.
In expressing his best wishes to the traditional leaders during the Asanteman Council meeting on March 28, Otumfuo noted that this edition of Akwasidae is unique because it falls on Easter Sunday.
